Matteo William Neufeld is a Canadian composer, producer, and multi-instrumentalist whose music exists at the intersection of ambient electronica, modern classical, and cinematic storytelling. For over 14 years, he has been crafting immersive, emotionally resonant music defined by rich textures, organic instrumentation, and meticulous sound design.

Beyond the studio, Matteo has traveled throughout North America and the Caribbean, performing music and serving alongside local communities in places such as Ensenada, the Dominican Republic, and Haiti. Working with children, families, and community support centres has deeply shaped his artistic perspective, reinforcing a belief that music has the power to foster connection, hope, and empathy across cultures.

Today, Matteo releases music through two distinct artistic projects.

Matteo William is his newest and most cinematic outlet, focusing on modern classical composition, ambient music, and emotionally driven works for film, documentary, television, and immersive listening. Centered around felted piano, strings, analogue textures, field recordings, and spacious sound design, the project embraces restraint, atmosphere, and emotional depth.

Rinnovare explores a more expansive blend of ambient electronica, indie influences, and cinematic production. Inspired by artists such as Bon Iver, Kiasmos, Bonobo, Christian Löffler, and Parra for Cuva, it combines Rhodes keyboards, washed-out guitars, synthesizers, layered vocals, glitch-inspired sampling, tape textures, and organic percussion into immersive soundscapes that feel both intimate and uplifting.

Whether composing for screen or creating music for independent release, Matteo is driven by a desire to tell honest stories through sound. His work has been licensed internationally through Musicbed and continues to accompany films, documentaries, commercials, and visual media around the world.
